Accompanist Marilyn Pikaart

Marilyn (Cook) Pikaart began playing organ at Plymouth and accompanying the choir in 1993. She has a BM in Music Therapy and a graduate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She retired as a music therapist in 2004.
A composer, with more than 25 compositions to date, Marilyn writes for keyboard, organ, choir, vocals, trumpet and dulcimer. She also collaborates with other Plymouth composers to bring new and uplifting pieces into the worship service. Highlights of Marilyn’s musical career include playing the organ in England’s South Bristol Cathedral and at the American Church in Paris, France.
Married to Philip Pikaart since 2002, Marilyn “inherited” four married children, their spouses and six grandchildren. |
