Christian Education Director

Sheree Alexander

This is Sheree Alexander's first year as Sunday Sessions Director and she is very excited to serve our church community in this capacity.  She has attended Plymouth Church with her family since 2003 and was involved in the nursery and Sunday Sessions program for nearly five years.

Sheree believes the Sunday Sessions programming provides a safe, inclusive learning environment and that Plymouth's curriculum enhances children’s ability to learn about God by using a variety of tools and resources including; storytelling, music, art, and service.

“I love our church because there is such an emphasis on caring here,”  she says.  “We want our young people to receive and participate in that caring and be able to believe that they can go out and make a positive difference wherever they go.”

This year’s  “Practicing Peace” curriculum, designed for 2nd-8th graders brings together the stories of Christ, the Church’s history in provoking positive social change, and how we individually can contribute a possible, peaceful change in ourselves, our families, neighborhoods, and world communities.

Sheree, husband Marty, and daughter Sophie live in the city of Grand Rapids.
