"Doug’s sermons were what I was looking to hear. I wanted to believe in and be loved by the God he talked about.”

Sheree Alexander came to Plymouth UCC in 2003 because of the Wage Peace sign out front. She stayed because of what she

saw and heard inside the building. Not only were the nursery staff loving toward her young child but, “Doug’s sermons were what

I was looking to hear. I wanted to believe in and be loved by the God he talked about,” she says.

Soon after her arrival, Sheree volunteered in the nursery. After that, she moved to teaching the youngest of the Sunday Sessions classes, the Little Lambs. Sheree became Christian Education Director in 2008.

“I believe a role of the church and, more specifically, the role of Sunday Sessions is to assist families in raising compassionate children,” she says.  “We have designed a Sunday Sessions program to teach children about the Bible, about the practice of Christianity,

and about the proclamation of the faith through self-reflection, commitment, and service.  And, we have a lot of fun along the way.”
